The event went off without a hitch, even after code enforcers showed up. Lead organizer of the event, Murdoch Pizgatti was confronted by the enforcers who told him to file the proper paperwork upon the event’s conclusion to which, Pizgatti politely replied, “no.”
One of the most frustrating things I encounter from day to day is when someone asks me, "Hey, Jason. Who are you going to vote for in the presidential election?". While it most definitely depends on who's asking the question at the time, I usually answer by saying, "None of the ones you see on TV", and I leave it at that. For the most part, they just shrug and walk away but if they continue to inquire further, I will often take opportunity to explain to them that I will only vote in another presidential election if I ever find what I consider to be a Constitutional candidate who vows to begin repealing presidential executive orders on day one in office.
What would it have been like to raise Jesus Christ? Joseph was a humble carpenter when God gave him the responsibility of being Christ’s father. While traveling the road to Nazareth, Joseph reflects on experiences he and his small family have had so far and on the significance of his Son’s mission to become the savior of the world. Even though he was often overwhelmed, Joseph was always loyal to God and to his Son, Jesus Christ. How will we follow his example this Christmas season?
What better way to preserve and propagate the heritage of freedom than homeschooling? After all, if the government schools will not ensure that future generations will be educated, independent minded citizens, then it is up to parents to take the education of their children into their own hands. Homeschooling can be an ideal way to do this, and as homeschooling continues to grow, America could see an entire generation of students grow up to be a vanguard for liberty and the preservation of our constitutional republic.
If you've not yet watched any of this interview with this teenage boy, it's well worth your time.
In a video interview Friday in Salt Lake City, Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reaffirmed the Church’s position on marriage and outlined handbook changes in Church policy affecting same-sex couples and their children. The interview will help Church members, the media and the public better understand the context and purpose of the changes, which have been discussed extensively in the news media, on social media and elsewhere.
“This is our response to same-sex marriage, a mockery of the concept of family,” Alexey Lisovenko, deputy head of United Russia’s Moscow branch, explained to pro-Kremlin newspaper Izvestia. “We have to warn about gay fever at home and maintain traditional values.”
I hope the reader will take some time to seriously consider and reflect upon what Elder Oaks had to say in this landmark address to the world. There is no doubt in my mind that his words are God's words- His mind and His will concerning us and who we ought to be.
