The entire list of “controversial issues” has the Left in an uproar, but it’s the creationism angle that the ACLU seems to think can shut down the whole preposterous plan to make children think.

As part of “school spirit week” at a Milwaukee elementary school, the student council decided on “gender bender day,” where 1st and 2nd graders would come to school cross-dressed. Obviously, this left some of the parents rather speechless. They didn’t like the idea of sending their 6 and 7-year-old boys off to school wearing dresses.  Oh, but they’re too young to know what they’re doing, so people just need to stop trying to create controversy. That’s just what one school board member said...

In a matter of just a few years, we have gone from drones in American skies being a conspiracy theory, to drones being openly debated by Congress for full deployment over the U.S. by 2015. However, you know things have gone to a new level when establishment media begins covering the full range of privacy-ending capabilities employed by drones matched with biometric databases ... inside America.

What was Hedin’s offense? He had students read books and journal articles by Ph.D.-level scientists who offer arguments for intelligent design over blind evolutionary theories. The course, “Inquiries in Physical Sciences,” is an elective. This means that students aren’t required to take it.  Imagine . . . a professor of science challenging his students to think and question. Is this not how science advances?
