One of the most frustrating things I encounter from day to day is when someone asks me, "Hey, Jason.  Who are you going to vote for in the presidential election?".  While it most definitely depends on who's asking the question at the time, I usually answer by saying, "None of the ones you see on TV", and I leave it at that.  For the most part, they just shrug and walk away but if they continue to inquire further, I will often take opportunity to explain to them that I will only vote in another presidential election if I ever find what I consider to be a Constitutional candidate who vows to begin repealing presidential executive orders on day one in office.

Even though he was often overwhelmed, Joseph was always loyal to God and to his Son, Jesus Christ. How will we follow his example this Christmas season?

What better way to preserve and propagate the heritage of freedom than homeschooling? After all, if the government schools will not ensure that future generations will be educated, independent minded citizens, then it is up to parents to take the education of their children into their own hands. Homeschooling can be an ideal way to do this, and as homeschooling continues to grow, America could see an entire generation of students grow up to be a vanguard for liberty and the preservation of our constitutional republic.

A critical mass of families built on such marriages is vital for societies to survive and flourish. That is why communities and nations generally have encouraged and protected marriage and the family as privileged institutions. It has never been just about the love and happiness of adults.

Recently U.S. District Judge Robert J. Shelby refused to delay his ruling to strike down a voter approved ban on same-sex marriage in the state of Utah, a choice that has resulted in much contention.  Unsurprisingly, Shelby’s decision unleashed a torrent of celebrations among LGBT supporters and a backlash from supporters of marriage as defined as the union of one man and one woman.  Many on both sides of the debate were surprised to see such a decision made so soon in the highly conservative state of Utah.  Homosexual couples scrambled to be the first in line to obtain a new marriage license.  Some joined in the festivities, while others expressed their strong disapproval of the judge’s decision.  On the surface there appeared to be a contest between those who support the choice of homosexuals to marry, and those who oppose this choice… but the reality of the conflict, just like Tolkien’s tales, goes much deeper than that.
